Motivational Education

If we understand how to motivate our students and know what makes them motivated, we will be able to encourage them to do best at their work and become more successful. By motivation, our students will have more self-confidence in their abilities and will successfully achieve the goals set for them. What also matters is my own motivation as a teacher towards my profession. Sometimes, I enter the class with all the stress I have from the university, so I don't show all my enthusiasm in teaching which I noticed affected my students as well. Conversely, when I come into class with a big smile on my face and full with positive energy to work,I realized that this energy is transmitted to them as well. They become more hyperactive and love to learn.

Through experience, I figured out that sometimes one word can make a big difference and can change students' life. If you praise a student and show him that he is an important individual in this class, he will definitely show progress in return. I personally tried this; I told one student in my class who is always interrupting my session "You will always be like that" and he actually kept on behaving in this way until I decided to praise my entire class in a small modest way. I chose one positive describing word for every single student that tells something positive about his/her personality even though they have some negative sides, but I wanted to dig in the positive one.

The results were surprising! You can't imagine how they changed and showed progress. From that point, I started to use more motivating ways in my teaching as relating my lessons to their lives and assigning each one a job in the classroom. I also tried the positive rewards as giving candies, chocolate bars and stickers for those who follow the classroom rules or show improvement.

  1. Every person needs to be motivated to give better, we as adults feel bad when we do somthing and no body recognise it. What about students?
Our lives is built up on our social relationships that either raise our work to high levels or drive us to failure.
